SNACK to School: Snacks & Lunch Ideas

Snack to school ideas for school lunches and snacks

It’s SNACK to school time, so I thought I’d combine my functional nutritionist and teacher skills to talk about snacks and lunches! Did you know I’m also a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner? Your girl’s got skills! I even wrote a digital cookbook called SNACK to School that you can snag on TPT right now for $7! And if you’re reading this around the time it posts, TPT is having a sale next week! August 1 and 2, 2023 so snag your copy then!

Favorite Teacher & Kinder Snacks

This year my second-oldest daughter is starting Kindergarten, so we need to supply her with lunch and a snack. I’m teaching Kindergarten alongside her, so I need to supply my own lunch and snack, too.

My next-to-youngest daughter attends a local Mother’s Day Out, so she takes lunch but not a snack. And my freshman packs her own lunch and the baby isn’t all that into food yet, so they’re already covered.

I eat a primal-ish diet (Paleo, dairy, rice, and oats) so snacks are often fruits or a dried fruit and nut mix. Since classrooms are usually nut-free, we are looking for fruit, fruit strips, meat bars like EPIC bars, granola bars, and carrots with French onion dip (Daisy brand is my favorite for a cleaner version).
